Mortgage Loan Operations Manager

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

 

 

 

Owner of the Mortgage Loan Operation. Proactively drives new strategies by anticipating and planning for future organizational needs.  Identifies, recommends and implements operational and program efficiencies to enhance and streamline processes. Manages necessary change to optimize and provide a delightful experience for members and employees that will drive sales and service.  Maximize technology capabilities, vendor relationships and professional networks to enhance scalability.

 

 

Effectively Manage Pipeline. Ensure files move through the departments (Processing, Underwriting, Closing, Post Closing and Servicing) in the most effective and efficient manner while providing "on time" delivery to members, investors, and business partners. 

 

 

Provide leadership, expertise, guidance and support to the Mortgage Operations Team. Responsible for recruiting, training, mentoring, coaching and developing staff. Monitor and reinforce performance standards. Provide expertise, guidance and support to the Mortgage Operations Team on all levels. Communicate and reinforce the Credit Union vision, values and strategic department goals.

 

 

Responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance. Reviews and provides guidance to Underwriters, Processors, Closers, Post Closers and Mortgage Servicers with appropriate documentation to ensure compliance with business partners/investors and all state and federal regulations and laws.

 

 

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills you should have:

 

Experience

Five years to eight years of similar or related Mortgage loan experience.

 

Interpersonal Skills

Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others to develop high performing teams is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a requirement.

 

Other Skills

Must be driven, organized dependable, detail-oriented, personable, and tactful. Must be technically savvy with the mathematical reasoning and the ability to read, interpret and explain legal documents. Must have the ability to prioritize key objectives and make critical decisions.
