What does Community Choice Credit Union do with your personal information?

What we do

How does Community Choice Credit Union protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

How does Community Choice Credit Union collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • Open an account or apply for a loan
  • Make a wire transfer or give us your contact information
  • Show your driver’s license

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only:

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State law and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
Community Choice Credit Union does not share with our affiliates

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.
Nonaffiliates we share with can include insurance companies, government agencies, plastic card processors (credit/debit/ATM), mailhouse, mortgage companies, consumer reporting agencies, data processors, and check/share draft printers

Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.
Our joint marketing partners include CUNA Mutual Group’s MEMBERCONNECT

Other Applications

ChoiceCredit Mobile App

Community Choice’s credit card app, ChoiceCredit periodically collects, transmits, and uses geolocation information for enabling features such as, but not limited to, card use and alerts to prevent fraudulent activates, but only if the end user expressly authorizes collection of such information. Geolocation information can be monitored on a continuous basis in the background only while the feature(s) are being used or not at all, depending on the end user’s selection. The end user can change his/her/their location permissions at any time in their device settings.
